And just like that, POOF! Another year has passed.
That’s the thing about time. It waits for no man. Moment by moment, it’s slipping right by me.
I hope you’ve had a good year. But even if it wasn’t all you wanted it to be, God is still good and reigns from His throne. And that means we have hope for a better year, and we can believe that the best is yet to come!
The stats reveal some positive trends in this blogging site, which began in October 2015. This calendar year, 2024, has seen more views than ever, and traffic has increased more each month than in previous years. To God be the glory!
Some of the reasons for this increase are outside of my expertise. How results arrive in answers to someone’s web search and the algorithms of social media are not my forte. I mean, why in the world do my friends and followers get to see the goofy picture, snarky comment, or the last meal I ate out more than the words written that could potentially inspire and encourage their souls?
Nonetheless, let me share some of my top posts as my tradition has become.
Here are My TOP 4 Favorite Posts that I published in 2024.
1. Criticizing God’s Servants. This one contains a lifetime of wisdom to help the Body of Christ.
2. Future Over Fear. I pray you’ll enjoy this shorter version of my 2024 Easter sermon.
3. The Truth about Christians and Gossip. I wish every Christian and church person in the world could read. Even though I’m the author, I occasionally reread this one. It’s a deep look at how we get into trouble too quickly with our words about others.
4. 10 Life Lessons from Job. I spent several weeks thinking about Job for a three-week sermon series. This post combines the lessons from all three sermons that all God’s people need.
Here are Your TOP 4 Most-Read Posts of 2024.
1. 6 Ways Christians Can Abuse God’s Grace. This has been my site’s most-read post of 2024 and the most-read of all time.
2. 7 New Testament Verses on Holiness that Every Christian Should Ingest. This post, written in 2017, is the second-most-read piece of 2024 and currently the third-most-read post of all time. I’m glad about it, too, since the content is God’s enduring Word.
3. 5 Powerful Acts of the Holy Spirit. This post was published in 2021 and contains many hyperlinks to more Bible passages. It would make a great Pentecost Sunday sermon outline.
4. 3 Proven Ways to Take Advantage of Your Access to God. I seem to have a knack for simplifying what is considered complex. This list post is another example of that. This brief post will be a blessing to any and every Christian, regardless of age or maturity.
BONUS: Here are 5 More Posts I think you should read in 2025.
1. The Truth about Christians and Gluttony. In January, many Christians in America focus on prayer and fasting. This naturally makes it a good time to consider the most culturally accepted sin of all: gluttony.
2. A Mini Case Study on Christian Leadership. I’ve been considering and practicing this topic for over thirty years.
3. 3 Inspiring Lessons for When You Feel like Giving Up. If you’ve never felt like giving up, then kudos to you. But most of us humans have been there a time or three. This post is all about me cheering you forward when you feel like giving up. Read it, bookmark it, and send it to a friend in need.
4. My 10 Favorite Verses about God’s Faithfulness. Here’s a spiritual food bar to satisfy your soul. It’s filled with God’s Word, which never disappoints God’s people.
5. 6 Needed Tips about Church Worship Music. I put this together in May of 2023 as an educational piece to better inform the people of God in local churches. I pray it’ll be a blessing to you as well.
To God be the glory for 2024. I pray daily that God uses this site to bless and help others.
There are over 400 pieces on this site. There’s indeed something here that’ll bless you in your Christian walk.
Many of the posts are written specifically to help pastors and church leaders. So, be sure to share a link with them.
Anytime that one of these articles helps you, please let me know. That encourages me to keep writing and sharing. And, of course, to God be the glory!
Now, carry on and make it a great year!
