Sometimes we need to be reminded.

God is BIGGER than whatever you’re currently facing. You’ve seen more than your share of trials. At times the pressure has felt overwhelming.

Christian, don’t be deceived. Satan has used these times to promote a spirit of fear. Yes, it is good to respect life and prayerfully proceed with wisdom. But the devil wants to isolate you and place you in bondage. However, God never intended for you to live under fear’s control.

Instead, God’s will is that we live controlled by a different Spirit, and He is HOLY. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Led by the Spirit, I want to remind you that God is BIGGER. That’s right! Our God is the One and ONLY Sovereign of the Universe. And He always reserves the right to pull a holy surprise from His sovereign sleeve. That means your situation could turn around in an instant.

So let’s increase our faith and look to Him in expectancy because God is always BIGGER!

My mind recalls the old Veggie Tales hit. They remind us that “God is bigger than the boogey man…” (you know you want to sing along with them).

I’m inspired to remind you of these 3 ways that God is BIGGER!

1) GOD is BIGGER than the lies you’ve believed.

Satan is a liar, and if your life has been anything like mine, he’s been lying to you all your life. The devil is a liar whose endgame is your destruction. He wants you to exist in misery with no influence.

STOP believing and accepting his lies as your truth! You can believe that because God is BIGGER than the lies you have believed. Accept that with God, all things are possible.

2) GOD is BIGGER than the limitations you’ve accepted.

Satan enjoys whispering restrictions until you’ve finally accepted them. Don’t place a period where a comma belongs. Don’t stop believing the vision God has given you. Satan has tried to convince you that because of your limitations, you must have missed God.

Rebuke that lie. Do not be disobedient to the heavenly vision for your life. God gave you a vision that was bigger than you, so you could learn that God is BIGGER than your limitations.

3) GOD is BIGGER than the lack of resources you’ve experienced.

Satan wants you to think that you must seek after the wealth of this world if you’re ever going to have anything. He wants you to believe that your employer, rich relative, or lottery playing is your source. WRONG!

God is your source! All other means are the resources He can use. Remember, God can do exceedingly, abundantly; above all, you could ask or dream. God is BIGGER than the lack of resources you’ve experienced.

God wants you to learn to seek His Kingdom and His righteousness first and foremost in your life. That’s the pursuit that leads to a blessed life. But the devil doesn’t want you to know there’s a land beyond Lo-debar (reference 2 Samuel 9 and Mephibosheth). There is a Kingdom where you’ve been summoned to reside. There, blessings without end await those who sit at the King’s table.

Whatever you might be facing today, GOD is BIGGER. Believe that heaven’s reality is more than the temporary circumstances you see with your earthly eyes. Rise up in faith and speak to the mountains that dare to appear too big to fall. It’s not by your might or by your power. But that mountain can become a plain by the Spirit of the Lord. Shout, “Grace, grace to it!”

Now pause and praise Him before the situation begins to change. That’s the sign of genuine faith that knows GOD is BIGGER!

Receive these truths today. Because you were fearfully and wonderfully made with purpose, there is more to your story. In fact, the best is yet to come. Rest assured, the life God has for you is way BIGGER than the one you are living.
