Another month has come and gone. Now let me set into typing up my March chronicles.

March 1 came on in on a Thursday which was a full day at the office. And it included a visit to the Chiropractor’s office. Repeated trips there have officially led me to the conclusion that jogging is not kind to my body. I have placed that activity on hold.

On my Friday off, I mowed the backyard, and we took Caleb out for his 15th birthday outing. And on Saturday, we were able to participate in the Central Georgia CHC District Family Fun Day for about four hours.

The first Sunday of the month (3/4) found us on the road again. We traveled to Odenville, Alabama and worshipped with Rhema Worship Center. It was great to be with Pastors Woody & Vanessa Salter. As well, it was good to have Todd & Lauren Cook join us for the worship service and lunch. It was my pleasure to promote Mission USA, preach the morning message, and spend time encouraging this tremendous small church. After an extended time of lunch and fellowship, we arrived home about 8 o’clock that evening.

On Wednesday of that week (3/7), Lisa and I drove over to Pike County Assembly of God to be in attendance for their revival service. Then on Friday, we headed to Jacksonville, Florida for the weekend. That Friday evening, we were able to dine with the Florida District Christian Education Director, Rev. Keith Taylor. It was great spending time with Keith & Georgeanne. Brother Keith is also the Associate Pastor of Woodstock Park CHC.

On Saturday morning, it was a blessing to participate in the Leadership Day Conference with the Florida District Pastors, ministers, and other church leaders. Dr. Samuel Hemby brought us a good time encouragement and training. That evening, we were able to dine with Pastor George Dugger and his wife, Sharon. They were our hosts for Sunday’s services.

Sunday (3/11) at Woodstock Park CHC was a full blessing. It was my honor to thank them for their faithful giving to Mission USA. As well, I was allowed to preach both services. We enjoyed the sweet hospitality of this congregation. After the evening service, we began our trek home in the stormy weather. We finally arrived about 2 am.

On Wednesday of the following week, we were blessed to be with Living Waters CHC for Bible Study service. And then on that Friday (3/16), we were blessed to entertain the families of Pastor Matt Mote and Pastor Mark Pate.

Saturday morning began quite early with a drive over to North Alabama. That morning I was blessed to provide about 3 hours worth of local church teacher training for Nances Creek CHC. That evening I was able to participate in a home prayer meeting with Pastor John Duncan and some of the members of Weaver CHC.

Sunday morning (3/18), was spent with Nances Creek CHC for Sunday School and the morning worship service. It was a blessing to promote Mission USA and preach the morning sermon to this growing small church. Pastor John Cole and his wife Dara are leading this congregation to be more intentional in discipleship.

Sunday evening (3/18) found me back with Weaver CHC. Pastor John Duncan and his wife Ellen have been in this pastorate for a short time, but they have already made a considerable impact. This congregation readily received the message I preached that night. Afterward, they lingered in the altars for an extended time of seeking the Lord. It was another late night drive home, but being spent for Jesus is worth the effort.

On Monday night, we attended our office Bible study meeting. And on Tuesday evening, we were grateful guests of the Nathan and Carmen Gesundheit. Her homecooked empanadas were a tasty treat. Nathan and Carmen are working diligently in Griffin attempting to reach local Hispanics with the Gospel. Their ministry efforts are currently being sponsored by West Sunny Side CHC and Living Waters CHC.

Wednesday (3/21) found us in attendance for a revival service at Vega Community Church in Meansville. Bishop Hanson, Rev. Poole and I rode together for this time of refreshing. Evangelist Richard Kitchens preached that service.

For the last Sunday of March (3/25), we attended Living Waters CHC for both Sunday services. Pastor Don Sansbury spoke that morning, and Rev. Rob Thacker delivered the evening sermon. Likewise, we were back with Living Waters for the final Wednesday of the month.

On Thursday (3/29), I was blessed to participate in a round-table discussion with our General Executive Board and about fourteen pastors under the age of 50. It was a splendid evening of sharing that helped reignite my passion.

The next morning (3/30) was a brunch blessing with Pastor Mark Pate and Bishop Hanson. Then for that evening, we were blessed to attend the Pentecostal Ministerial Fellowship sponsored Good Friday worship service. It was held at Vega Community Church, and Evangelist Beth Stephens-Johnson preached this meeting.

In between all of the time, I was privileged to spend my office hours here in Griffin. I am grateful for God’s call to the ministry. It is both a privilege and a burden to serve Him with this glorious grace-filled Gospel.
