I have a very fond appreciation of Holy Communion. I like to receive and serve in this special time of worship. Often, I have even described myself as a sucker for a good communion. I love it when the table is set and I get to share in this beautiful time with other believers.
Recently, I was blessed to be able to share a communion devotion that I wrote about a year ago. “Broken for Blessings” appeared on a different perspective in written form back on October 8, 2015. In this video setting, I was hosting an event that we planned for church planters and those interested in church planting. Partners in Planting was a great deal of fun as we provided encouragement for the mission. Bishop Randy Carter, General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church was our featured speaker for #PIP2016. This video I’m sharing is of the Holy Communion service we shared on our opening Saturday morning (10/29) session. Also, let me introduce these talented musicians who are also ordained ministers: on the left is Rebekah and on the right is Justin. More can be found out about Justin and Rebekah by viewing their blog at The Softy and the Seminarian. I trust you’ll enjoy this brief musical setup and communion devotion that follows in this 24-minute video.
If you have taken the time to read the written version or listened to the spoken version of this devotion, I’d like to know your thoughts on the subject. Have you been broken for blessings? Has your life moved from the sentimental to the sacred value? Have you come to the conclusion that we are all broken? Have you brought your brokenness to Christ for His blessings?
